Kellie Larson found her love of movement at the early age of 3, when she began dance classes here in Redmond, WA. Dancing was a steady part of her life growing up, and proved to be a great complement to her many other physically demanding activities.
Kellie received her BA in Dance Performance from Brigham Young University, where she was a member of the Dancers’ Company. During her years in college, she was fortunate enough to travel and perform in countries such as Ukraine, Belarus, Fiji, New Zealand, India, and throughout the United States. Performing for such diverse crowds brought Kellie a love and appreciation for sharing her passion for movement with others.
After graduating from college, Kellie and her husband moved to Virginia where she continued her performing career with James Hansen Dance Company and Second Wind Dance Company. She was thrilled to be able to perform in New York City and throughout the Chesapeake Bay area.
While still performing professionally, Kellie started teaching the techniques of dance to students of all ages, and has now been teaching for 16 years. She opened Let’s Dance! in Redmond, and is blessed with wonderful dancers and supportive families. Among her favorite styles to teach are Creative Movement, Tap, Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary. Kellie finds joy in seeing the passion that she has for dance grow inside her students.
